Kara is a Wilmington native and Kimberly has called the area home for almost 20 years. Lumina was built after years of owning and managing our own investment properties. We found that Wilmington and the surrounding beaches lacked quality management services that were centered on guest experience and client communication. So, we changed that. We understand what it takes to make guests feel at home and owners feel secure in their investment.
Kara grew up on Wrightsville Beach on S. Lumina (hence our name, Lumina!) and loves sharing all that NC beaches have to offer to guests. She works closely with owners and oversees onboarding and operations alongside Kimberly. She lives in Wilmington with her husband and their two children.
Kimberly has been in Wilmington for over 20 years and managed her own personal rental properties for six years prior to co-founding Lumina. She handles operations and oversees revenue management and marketing. She also lives in Wilmington with her husband and their two children!
